Brightline, a leading pediatric virtual behavioral health provider, has raised an additional $10 million in funding from Northwell Health, New York State’s largest health system. This strategic investment boosts Brightline’s Series C round to $115 million and brings its total funding close to $220 million. The new capital will help the company scale its digital care offerings, expand care modalities, and strengthen its coordination with partners across the healthcare system.

Innovative Pediatric Virtual Behavioral Health Model

Founded in 2019, Brightline delivers a full spectrum of pediatric virtual behavioral health services to children, teens, and families. Its platform offers therapy sessions with licensed clinicians, psychiatry, speech therapy, coaching, and on-demand educational tools. Families access these services through Brightline’s user-friendly app, which also includes videos, interactive exercises, and chat access to behavioral health coaches. This model not only improves access but also empowers families with continuous, tech-enabled support.

Addressing a National Pediatric Behavioral Health Crisis

The funding arrives at a time when youth mental health is increasingly recognized as a national emergency. According to the CDC, only 20% of children with mental, emotional, or behavioral health conditions currently receive care from specialized providers. Brightline is working to close that gap with a scalable, virtual-first model tailored specifically to the needs of young people. “Pediatric behavioral health has been declared a national crisis,” said Dr. Victor Fornari, vice chair and director of child and adolescent psychiatry at Northwell Health. “We look forward to collaborating with the Brightline team as they broaden access to services using technology, virtual care, and education.”

Partnership with Northwell Health

Northwell Health’s support reinforces the growing momentum around pediatric virtual behavioral health solutions. With 23 hospitals, over 830 outpatient facilities, and 79,000 employees, Northwell brings extensive expertise and infrastructure to the partnership. Their investment is expected to help Brightline deepen its care capabilities while meeting rising demand across the country.

Expansion of Autism Spectrum Disorder Services

This year, Brightline has expanded its reach with new services targeting autism spectrum disorder. In January, it introduced autism-specific support focused on early intervention, structured coaching for parents, and on-demand resources. More recently, Brightline launched a coaching program for caregivers of children with autism, helping parents navigate care with personalized, real-time support.

Growing Demand for Pediatric Virtual Behavioral Health

Brightline’s mission fits within a larger wave of innovation in pediatric virtual behavioral health. Families increasingly seek flexible, accessible care options for children struggling with anxiety, depression, ADHD, autism, and more. Digital-first providers like Brightline are stepping in to meet those needs, leveraging technology to break down barriers to quality care.

The company’s long-term vision includes expanded partnerships, new types of care experiences, and a continually evolving content library—all designed to support families in a comprehensive, convenient way. With its strong leadership, growing network of partners, and commitment to evidence-based digital care, Brightline is quickly becoming a cornerstone in the pediatric virtual behavioral health landscape.

A New Pathway for Pediatric Virtual Behavioral Health

As the demand for child and adolescent mental health care continues to surge, Brightline’s growth highlights the urgent need for scalable solutions. By combining professional care with digital access, the company is reshaping how youth virtual behavioral health is delivered in the U.S.—and offering families a powerful new pathway to support, healing, and hope.
