Mather, the third executive to hold the COO position in 2022, will report directly to CEO Brian Holzer and help lead the company through a pivotal period of growth, including its in-home addiction treatment expansion and operational scaling.
Strengthening Leadership for Growth
Before joining Aware Recovery Care, Mather served as CEO of Peace Hospital, a 261-bed psychiatric hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. Over 13 years, she helped guide the hospital under UofL Health Inc., a nonprofit health system affiliated with the University of Louisville, establishing herself as a respected leader in behavioral health. Mather holds a master’s degree in mental health counseling and is a licensed professional counselor, bringing both clinical expertise and executive leadership to her new role.
