Ketamine therapy startup Nue Life is taking a major step toward expanding access to mental health care with the launch of Nue Network, a new partnership program that allows health systems, medical networks, and prescribers to provide its services in all 50 states. The initiative aims to deliver at-home ketamine therapy alongside integrated therapy programs, offering patients a combination of medication, virtual coaching, and guided group sessions. This expansion signals a strategic evolution for Nue Life, moving from a direct-to-consumer (D2C) model to a more diversified approach that includes business-to-business (B2B) partnerships with healthcare providers.

Through Nue Network, healthcare providers can give patients access not only to the ketamine medication itself but also to virtual individualized coaching and group sessions for preparation and integration, designed to support patients throughout their treatment journey. The program specifically targets providers treating behavioral and psychiatric conditions, including depression, anxiety, PTSD, and other mood and cognitive disorders. By connecting patients with treatment through their existing healthcare providers, Nue Life seeks to reduce barriers to care and increase patient safety and adherence.

“Our program is designed to break down the cost and accessibility barriers that exist in the healthcare system through a forward-looking adoption of technology and novel treatment modalities,” said Demian Bellumio, co-founder and chief operating officer of Nue Life. “Our direct-to-consumer model has allowed us to complete over 50,000 dosings so far, but now, with the launch of Nue Network, we are making it even easier for patients to work through their primary care physicians and healthcare providers to gain access to at-home ketamine therapy, which has delivered tremendous results for those struggling through the healing process.”

Miami, Florida-based Nue Life provides partner organizations with an app-based patient tracking system and an electronic health record (EHR) platform, which integrates e-prescribing, pharmacy management, compounding, and medication shipment. This comprehensive suite of tools ensures that providers can safely and efficiently deliver at-home ketamine therapy while tracking patient outcomes and maintaining regulatory compliance.

Founded in 2020, Nue Life has established itself as a mental wellness company focused on combining innovation and accessibility. The startup completed a $23 million Series A funding round in April 2022, led by Obvious Ventures with additional debt financing from Western Technology Investment. The capital has helped the company expand its platform and increase patient access to at-home ketamine therapy, reflecting investor confidence in the growing market for alternative mental health treatments.

The Growth of At-Home Ketamine Therapy

At-home ketamine therapy and other psychedelics have increasingly gained attention as alternatives for treating behavioral and psychiatric conditions. The FDA approval of Spravato in 2019, a nasal esketamine spray for adults with treatment-resistant depression, marked a significant milestone for ketamine in mainstream mental health care. Since then, research has continued to show ketamine’s potential to provide rapid relief from depressive symptoms and other mood disorders, particularly for patients who have not responded to traditional therapies.

The COVID-19 pandemic accelerated the trend toward at-home ketamine therapy by temporarily relaxing federal regulations on controlled substances, allowing licensed clinicians to prescribe ketamine remotely. This regulatory flexibility paved the way for a surge of telehealth and at-home ketamine providers. Companies like Wondermed, which raised $4.6 million in June 2025, illustrate the growing interest in at-home ketamine therapy, highlighting both patient demand and investor enthusiasm for innovative mental health solutions.

Despite its promise, at-home ketamine therapy is not without controversy. Critics point to potential safety risks and concerns about misuse, especially in virtual or unsupervised settings. Supporters argue that when paired with structured therapy programs, careful monitoring, and proper patient education, at-home ketamine therapy can be a powerful tool for mental health recovery. Nue Life’s model addresses these concerns by combining medication with integrated coaching and preparation/integration sessions, ensuring patients have support throughout their treatment journey.

How Nue Network Supports Providers and Patients

By offering Nue Network to healthcare organizations, Nue Life is not just expanding patient access—it is also providing a robust framework for providers. The app-based platform allows clinicians to:

  • Track patient progress in real time
  • Monitor dosing and outcomes
  • Coordinate pharmacy services, including compounding and shipment
  • Document treatment within the EHR system
  • Provide virtual coaching and group support sessions

This approach creates a comprehensive, tech-enabled ecosystem that supports both the provider and the patient. It also represents a broader trend in behavioral health: the use of technology to enhance traditional care models, improve patient outcomes, and make specialized therapies like at-home ketamine therapy more accessible and manageable.

The Future of Mental Health Treatment

The launch of Nue Network highlights a shift in mental health care toward hybrid models that combine in-person, at-home, and virtual services. As public awareness of ketamine and other psychedelics grows, so too does the need for safe, evidence-based frameworks for treatment. Nue Life’s dual focus on D2C and B2B offerings positions the company to address both patient demand and provider needs, making it a notable player in the rapidly evolving landscape of digital mental health care.

With at-home ketamine therapy continuing to gain legitimacy and adoption, programs like Nue Network are likely to play a critical role in expanding access, improving outcomes, and shaping the next generation of behavioral health care. By connecting patients with qualified healthcare providers while integrating technology and structured therapy, Nue Life is setting a new standard for accessible, patient-centered mental wellness.
