InStride Health, a rising leader in virtual pediatric mental health care, has raised $30 million in Series B funding to expand its reach and strengthen its clinical services. The funding round was led by General Catalyst, with additional support from .406 Ventures, Valtruis, Mass General Brigham Ventures, and Hopelab Foundation. This brings InStride’s total funding to $56 million—just a year and a half after its $26 million Series A round.

The company plans to use this funding to scale into new markets and invest further in clinical quality, helping more children and teens access timely, effective behavioral health care. InStride Health delivers virtual pediatric mental health care specifically for youth with anxiety and obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), conditions that affect nearly 1 in 10 children in the U.S., according to the CDC.

A Virtual Model for Personalized Pediatric Behavioral Health

InStride’s treatment model centers on personalized, evidence-based care delivered virtually. Its clinical teams—made up of psychiatrists, therapists, and exposure coaches—work together to provide comprehensive care through one-on-one therapy, group therapy, coaching, and medication management. This approach allows families to access high-quality care from home, eliminating barriers such as long waitlists or geographic limitations that are common in traditional care settings.

“Our mission is to help kids, teens, and young adults with anxiety and OCD,” said John Voith, co-founder and CEO of InStride Health. “We’re building a future where virtual pediatric mental health care is just as accessible and effective as in-person services. With the support of our team and investors, we’re excited to expand this model to more families in need.”

Expanding Access Across States

Currently, InStride provides virtual pediatric mental health care in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, and Rhode Island, with plans to launch in Maine soon. The company accepts most major insurance plans, helping to make care more affordable and accessible to a broad population.

The company has also partnered with McLean Hospital, a division of Mass General Brigham, to further enhance the quality of care offered through its virtual platform. This collaboration reinforces InStride’s commitment to delivering clinically robust virtual pediatric mental health care supported by leading psychiatric expertise.

Meeting a National Need

Candace Richardson, partner at General Catalyst, praised the company’s progress: “We believe InStride is at the forefront of helping to democratize accessible, high-quality behavioral health care through its unique clinical model and innovative approach to delivering care.”

InStride joins a growing group of startups addressing the pediatric mental health crisis through technology and innovation. Blackbird Health, another player in this space, recently raised $17 million to expand its hybrid care model for children and young adults with anxiety, ADHD, and other conditions. Fort Health, which collaborates directly with pediatricians to provide virtual pediatric mental health services, has raised $10.5 million to date.

A Promising Future for Virtual Pediatric Mental Health Care

With a proven model, strong partnerships, and a clear mission, InStride Health is poised to become a national leader in virtual pediatric mental health services. The company’s focus on accessibility, clinical quality, and personalized support positions it to make a meaningful impact on the lives of children and families navigating mental health challenges.
