At evolvedMD, we’re proud to celebrate the incredible achievements of our very own Kristy Geiszler, Clinical Manager, who has been named a 2023 Frontline Honors honoree by Behavioral Health Business. This well-deserved recognition highlights Kristy’s exceptional dedication as a Behavioral Health Advocate, leader, and provider of compassionate, person-centered care.

The Frontline Honors program recognizes individuals nominated by their peers for their outstanding commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes, inspiring those around them, and pushing forward the mission of behavioral health organizations. As a seasoned Behavioral Health Advocate, Kristy exemplifies everything this honor represents—dedication, innovation, and a deep passion for improving lives.

A Passion Rooted in Compassion

Kristy’s journey in behavioral health began with a simple but powerful desire: to help people. From a young age, she felt called to serve, and this calling became clear when she began volunteering at a domestic violence shelter. It was there she saw firsthand how many individuals suffer silently and how meaningful support can change lives. This pivotal experience set her on the path to becoming a social worker and eventually a trusted Behavioral Health Advocate within the medical and behavioral health fields.

Early in her career, Kristy secured a hospital internship that opened her eyes to the intersection of medical care and emotional well-being. That experience grew into a career rooted in providing collaborative care—blending behavioral health into primary care settings to make services more accessible, timely, and stigma-free. As Clinical Manager at evolvedMD, Kristy continues her work as a Behavioral Health Advocate by helping patients receive the care they need in everyday settings where they already feel comfortable.

Leading With Empathy and Humanity

When reflecting on what she’s learned, Kristy shared, “Everyone has a story. I love that my patients feel comfortable telling me their story, even the bad parts.” Her work reminds us that behind every diagnosis is a person who deserves to be heard. As a parent, she also passes on these values to her children, encouraging empathy and understanding—traits every true Behavioral Health Advocate must carry.

One of Kristy’s favorite parts of her job is seeing her patients succeed and then, in turn, use what they’ve learned to support others. “It’s the gift that keeps on giving,” she said. That ripple effect of healing and peer support is what makes behavioral health work so impactful. Kristy’s presence at evolvedMD ensures that each patient not only receives care but is also empowered to create change in their own communities—just as every great Behavioral Health Advocate strives to do.

Destigmatizing Help and Championing Access

Beyond her work with patients, Kristy hopes to shift public perception of mental health. “It is okay to ask for help,” she says. “There are many qualified counselors and therapists who truly want to make a difference.” As a Behavioral Health Advocate, she works to validate each patient’s journey and normalize seeking care.

Kristy also challenges healthcare leaders to better understand the real-world barriers many people face—like stigma, long wait times, and unaffordable treatment. These are the challenges that keep people from getting the help they need. That’s why Kristy is so passionate about her role in primary care settings. By integrating behavioral health into everyday healthcare, she helps remove these barriers and acts as a frontline Behavioral Health Advocate ensuring equitable access to mental health support.

Celebrating a Well-Deserved Honor

Being named a 2023 Frontline Honors honoree is a testament to Kristy’s tireless work and her deep impact on both patients and peers. She leads by example, advocates fearlessly, and continues to shape a better future for behavioral health care. Her story serves as an inspiration to anyone striving to make a difference—not just as a clinician, but as a true Behavioral Health Advocate in every sense of the word.

Congratulations to Kristy Geiszler on this incredible achievement. We are grateful for her leadership, her compassion, and her continued commitment to transforming lives through her work as a Behavioral Health Advocate.
